The ManKind Project is proud to continue seeing graduates of the New Warrior Training Adventure do amazing work in the world. Anthony Ramirez DiVittorio is a #NewWarrior and a 2013 winner of the ManKind Project’s Ron Hering Mission of Service Award.

His work with young men started before he encountered the ManKind Project, but his participation in men’s work has deeply influenced the growth of his programs. When Tony won the Ron Hering Mission of Service Award he said that the ManKind Project and the New Warrior Training Adventure was critical to his development of the BAM – Becoming a Man – Program. Mentors for the BAM program attend the New Warrior Training Adventure as part of their intensive education

Forbes Magazine did a two part series about DiVittorio and the BAM Program in Chicago. BAM gained national recognition when President Obama announced the creation of the “Brother’s Keeper” initiative to assist young men of color in education.
