The ManKind Project (MKP) of Sioux City is a committed, diverse and vital community of men empowering men and women to live in integrity, authenticity and service. We are creating a world of love, healthy and strong individual leadership, healing, and growing consciousness through the efforts of its community members.

We empower men and women to live to their full potential, trusting that they will co-create the healthy solutions needed by society. We support the creation by men and women of loving families, strong communities, and productive workplaces in a sustainable environment.

There are more than 627 past and present New Warriors in the Sioux City MKP community. New Warriors are men that have been initiated through attending a New Warrior Adventure Training Weekend (NWTA) held here in the Sioux City area, or those held throughout the United States and internationally.

The Sioux City Center of the Mankind Project was organized in 1993. It is incorporated as a non-profit corporation in the State of Iowa. The Sioux City Center has been recognized by the Mankind Project as a full training center since 1997.

The men who have completed the New Warrior Training Adventures presented by the Sioux City community have come from many areas of this country and from abroad. These men have come from all parts of Iowa, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, including from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota; from Kansas City, Missouri; Topeka and Kansas City, Kansas; Illinois; Alaska; Arizona; Texas; Minnesota; Wyoming; and abroad from South Africa.

Men who have completed the New Warrior Training Adventure, or who are considering doing so, are eligible to join an Integration-Group (I-Group). The Integration-Group allows men the opportunity to stay connected to the MKP Community and to the important issues in their own lives.

Integration Groups vary in their admission policies, but generally invite men who are currently known to be members, who have completed the NWTA or who are considering completing the training. These groups generally meet once a week or bi-weekly in the evening, and are a continuation of the process of doing personal work around life issues raised during the NWTA, and that arise in one's own personal life journey.

At this time there are 13 Integration-Groups that are attended by men who are a part of the Sioux City MKP. These groups meet in Sioux City, Iowa; Des Moines, Iowa; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and in Fairfield, Iowa. There are men from the Sioux City community presently building such a group also in the Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska area.

Our intention is twofold: (1) to enable and challenge men to live lives of integrity, accountability, and connection to feeling, and (2) to be of service to the community at large, both as individual men with a renewed sense of passion and personal responsibility, and as communities of men working together to build sustainable relationships in families, careers, and in all other areas of their lives.

We invite you to come join us in our efforts of supporting and challenging men to step into their full potential as leaders in all phases of their lives.
