“We are a community dedicated to serving and empowering men by creating profound opportunities for change, personal connection and positive leadership.”

The Greater Carolinas Center (GCC) extends over a large geographical area. We include all of North Carolina and South Carolina, SW Virginia (up through Blacksburg/Roanoke), and Eastern Tennessee (up through the Tri-Cities – Johnson City, Kingsport, and Bristol).

We started in the Raleigh area and in the Charleston area in the mid-1990s with a few initiated men who managed to pull together a couple of I-Groups. We grew rather rapidly, and under the mentorship of the Greater Washington Center, we held our first New Warrior Training Adventure in 1999 in Reidsville, NC.

We are now a vibrant, growing community of initiated men throughout our Center. We spread like wildfire from Raleigh and Charleston to I-Groups throughout the Triangle, to Greensboro, to Asheville, to Charlotte, to Wilmington and to Boone in NC, and to Columbia and Greenville, SC, as well as Roanoke and Blacksburg in VA and Johnson City in TN.

Through the community efforts of the GCC, the hungry are being fed, foster care agencies have new paint jobs, the Boys to Men program of initiating boys into manhood has taken root (Journeymen Asheville), and young people are being taught to read.

Families and communities feel the benefits of the work of The ManKind Project in the Greater Carolinas. We are proud, authentic leaders of men.

Come and join our strong circles of men as we move along our paths to authenticity, accountability, and connection to our feelings.
