The New Zealand Community

The ManKind Project New Zealand is a Charitable Trust born out of the ManKind Project, an international network of interdependent not-for-profit men's centres across the world. The movement began in January 1985 when 18 men went on the first weekend training session in Haimowoods, Wisconsin. From these modest beginnings, the ManKind Project has reached more than 30,000 men worldwide through our signature New Warrior Training Adventure (NWTA) through our 27 centres from Auckland to London.
 
New Zealand held it’s first NWTA in March of 2002. Since then, several hundred men have participated in Kiwi organized and funded trainings. Approximately 200 men join us in our work each year with many more going on to play an active role in our community mission of service - Changing the world one man at a time. 
 
After completing the New Warrior Training Adventure weekend, our support of men continues. We conduct ongoing Integration Groups (I-Groups), as well as advanced leadership trainings and seminars.
