The ManKind Project of North Texas is a vibrant and growing community of men dedicated to ‘Changing the World One Man at a Time’. As a developing training center that is part of the ManKind Project International men of MKP-NT are involved in many different aspects of making our world a safer place for men to experience the true meaning of being a man in today’s complex world. The men of North Texas support a number of diverse trainings including hosting two New Warrior Training Adventures annually along with other personal development workshops, social gatherings and a number of varied out reach programs.

The North Texas MKP community began in 1995 when two men (Ron Nevelow and Russell Crow) returned from their weekend on fire without an I-group to attend, and another man (Tim Bates) moved to Texas from his long standing I-group in Washington D.C. Rounding up area men who had done a weekend, their first I-group met in Tim’s house with 7 men. Due to several changes, they needed a place to meet. Another man offered up his brother’s empty pool house on Pensive Dr. where they continued to meet for over two years before they ever did an initial I-group. Various men took leadership positions, with their first community council forming in 1999. They assisted an initial I-group with their own staff in 1999, and began running their own initial I-groups afterwards. They added a second I-group in 2001 and have continued to grow, with up to 7 I-groups running at one time. These I-groups cover Dallas, Fort Worth and Shady Shores. North Texas began running NWTA in June 2004. North Texas has a number of men that are in various stages of leadership in MKPI and supports the efforts of the International community to grow in numbers and locations though out the world.
