The ManKind Project of Santa Barbara is a young but vibrantly active community of over 200 initiated men, extending geographically along the central coast of California approximately from Camarillo in the south to Paso Robles, above San Luis Obispo, to the north.  We put on two high quality New Warrior Training Adventures each year up in the mountains above Santa Barbara -- one in the early spring, and the second in the late fall; in a few weeks we will host our tenth NWTA!  The men of our community currently have eight integration groups available to them in which they can continue and deepen the work and missions of service started on their NWTAs.

Increasing public awareness of men's work has been a focal point of our community's social outreach over the past few years.  We've hosted several local men's conferences -- the last featuring West African shaman Malidoma Somé -- and this past spring we sponsored a theatrical production of Iron John, followed a few months later by "An Evening with Robert Bly", the latter of which attracted nearly 1000 attendees.   We welcome visitors, and hope you will choose stay a while and share of your wisdom and truth, as we share what we have to offer with you.
