Mission of Service for Sean Sheehan

Action in the World:

What I'm most proud of at this time in my life journey is the work I do with children, our future leaders.  I advocate for childern in my work place, my place of worship, and in my community.   At work I'm willing to spend the extra time to help teens work out "growing up" life challenges and developing adult decisions on their life issues.  At my church, I'm a co-facilitator of a high school youth group.  Each and every Sunday night, we spent time create sacred space for 20 teenagers to speak their truths.  This is a challenging group in that they choose to be there and have a willingness to "put in all out there".  We do weekend getaways, meeting other teens in various UU churches.  I've been fortunate to have a Little Brother who is now 18, who is quickly becoming a man.  We have spent a lot of time together over the last four years.  I also continue to be involved with Habitat for Humanity - Youth Build.
