Action in the World:
Wendell volunteers with WorkNet Services, a ministry that is centered on
providing individuals the components necessary to promote themselves to an
employer but even more importantly build positive self esteem and pride in
all their abilities both formal and informal. It is our attempt to provide
hope and show patience and genuine concern to individuals, many of whom are
at a crucial juncture of re-evaluating their past decisions and values.
Wendell's primary efforts are involved in helping the individual market
him(her)self in person which is designed to give them confidence in meeting
perspective employers. I focus on showing individuals how to present the
company's image, answer questions so the employer is impressed, and
determine if the company matches their needs, preferences and career path.
Mock interviews are a vital component of this workshop.
