Mission of Service for Julien Devereux
Personal Mission:I create a joyful and compassionate universe by lightly loving life. Action in the World:Julien has been a social worker and addictions counselor since 1986 he has served in many capacities helping people, families and organizations overcome their serious addictions and dysfunctions, including his own. He is currently is Treasurer and President-elect, Strategic Planning Committee, for the Dallas Group Psychotherapy Society. He is a consultant for 24 Hour Club Board, Burning Tree Ranch, and Grace Unlimited and serves on the Legislative Advisory Committee for Senator Royce West. Julien has given numerous presentations and lectures to such groups as the NASW National Conference, Women's Treatment Conference and the Dallas County Judicial Treatment Center. He is a published writer and is currently finishing his PhD in Human and Organizational Transformation at the California Institute of Integral Studies, San Francisco, CA. School of Consciousness and Transformation. Julien is also a Certified Integrative Breathwork and Soul-Based Psychology In addition Julien has staffed Gender Reconciliation workshops in Cape Town, South Africa and Toronto, Canada for the Satyana Institute He is currently spearheading negotiations to have an open men's circle in the Dallas County Jail starting in January 2010. In 1985 started an AA meeting program in the Dallas County Jail system. This program continues today. Explore more:
