Mission of Service for Tom Bussler

Action in the World:

Tom has been involved in Native American ceremony for over seventeen years. He has organized and hosted gatherings and has kept fire for his teacher Albert Ward, a Native American traditional healer from eastern Canada. He has done this for the last fifteen years and continues to do so. Tom carries a pipe for the people in the Mik'maq tradition. He works with the medicine to help others on a daily basis and was blessed almost two years ago to lead ceremony and does so regularly in the Los Angeles area and visits other communities as well. He has MC'd and been the sacred fire keeper at powwows. Tom is involved with the HER weekend, and empowering weekend for women and does outreach to Veterans. Over the years he has been a big brother and helped mentor boys and volunteers at Self Realization Fellowship in their gardens.
