Action in the World:

Luis Bautista has been involved in Men’s work since 1981 and as a practitioner of the healing art of Jin Shin Jyutsu brings a unique perspective of ancient oriental wisdom and Native American spirituality to his approach. His work with MKP Houston has been to serve as a spiritual adviser to the elder community. In 2006 Luis created The Spiritual Elder Training for seven Ritual Elders; the training was a model of indigenous technology based on the teachings of Native American spirituality and Yaqui Shamanism. In 2008, Luis and Head Ritual Elder, Lamont Grogan, wrote the 2008 Action Plan for the Houston Elder community. Starting in 2009 Luis conducted The Spiritual Circle, a monthly class addressing spirituality in everyday life. Along with his trainings and classes, Luis’s main objective was to mentor as many men as possible while restoring the elder to his rightful place in the larger world.
