Before my NWTA, I had everything I had hoped for -- a prosperous career with an incredible salary, success over years of addiction, material possessions -- but I was still alone and in fear. I was afraid to let go of the dream and hope that eventually my father and uncles were finally going to step forward to show me how to be a man.
